Merry X'mas!

Merry Merry X'mas! Today is X'mas day and we have so much fun at Conrad hotel. The place is so Christmasy with nice decor, X'mas carole and yummy food. We really enjoyed soaking in the Christmas mood :)

Today the boys managed to 'swim' a little. It was James' first X'mas and swim :) He was abit nervous at first...luckily I managed to catch few of his handsome pic. He was so well behaved in the hotel, no problem napping and slept thru the nite. The only regret is I brought a new milk powder enfalac for him, a total switch from Nan H.A which he used to drink since he was a baby. I thought he will sure like it since enfalac taste alot sweeter than Nan H.A which is bitter. Who knows he refused to drink milk, only drank 180ml at 5am today. Rest of the day, I feed him with bread and cereal. Actually it was not a hassle to bring him for hotel stay. If I still have a job, maybe we can consider some short trip for his 1 year's old birthday. He was 9 months on the 23rd Dec, weigh 8.7kg and has 2 front and 2 lower teeth.

Jaden can read!

Jaden reads a whole book on its own today! Is the Oxford Reading Stage 4 "The Play" :) I'm really glad that he can read now but I will still proceed to register him at Lorna Whiston Engligh enrichment class. I feel that it is very important to have a strong English foundatin inorder to excel in rest of the subjects.

During parent's meeting session 2 weeks ago, his class teacher commented that he is a perfectionist and will not try something that he is not confident. His character is so much like me. She also commented that Jaden does not draw ears whenever he drew a person and today I found out why. He said to draw a ear to the pic, the person will look like a monkey...Ivan and I laughed hard hearing this as it seems to be quite true. Dont you think so...hehe :D

Little Einstein!

Jaden is indeed a little Einstein. He adores Science alot and his all time favourites is still solar system. He taught me what is "Orion Belt" today...'mummy, 3 stars joined together is called Orion Belt'.

He did a Science experiment today on his own without our knowledge. He called us over and showed us when his test is proved correct.

We always have this electric ball and digital clock on our TV console. He realised that when both of these items are placed closed together, the current on the electric ball will actually turned the lights of the digital clock on. And it will not happen if the two items are placed far apart. Both Ivan and I were shocked by his recovery! He is really our little Einstein!

James is 8 months now!

This morning, James raised his hand and wave goodbye to me. So surprised that he knew how to wave goodbye already :)

James now sleeps in the Queen size bed at the master bedroom with daddy. He has outgrown the babycot and tends to wake up very often middle of the night due to space constraint. He sleeps more soundly in the bigger bed now.

I have missed Jaden and James so much as I've been working very long hours every day - 12 hours a day. No kidding! Both of them were asleep when I reached home and next morning, they were rushing to nanny's place and school.

As we do not have a landline, I've passed Jaden my spare cell phone. Haiyo, he can call me 3 times or more every day. Nice to hear his voice and tell me what he does in school though.

I'm taking 2 days off next week to spend more time with Jaden. Will bring him to snowcity on Tue. I'm sure he will enjoy the snow and cold :D Cant wait for James to grow up so we can resume our overseas holiday soon. Where shall we go next year? Japan, Hong Kong or Australia?

Avocado

Last weekend, James took the mashed banana and avocado that I made for him. I was so delighted and glad that he has finally accepted the avocado :) James loves most of the food except for chicken noodle puree. He is quite impatient during meal times and always wanted food to be serve fast. But I'm not complaining. Is better for him to love food than to be a fussy eater.

Jaden eats well when he was a infant also. Only when he turned 3yo that he becomes fussy. At 5 years and 3 months, he weigh 16kg :)

James is 7 months old!

James loves my carrot and fish porridge and pumpkin and fish porridge. I am glad that he enjoyed the porridge that I cooked :) Tomorrow is Deepavali holiday, will cook peas and fish porridge for him :)

At 7 months, he is now able to give hand gesture when he wants to be carried, sit unsupported and eat baby biscuit. Today at 'kong kong' house, I let him try the Japanese brand bb biscuit. He really enoys it and can hear the 'cracking' sound of the biscuit somemore. Wanted to stop after 1 pc but he cried asking for more. James eats quite alot, just like Jay but dun know why both of them are of the small side compared to other kids. Is it because mum and dad are small built as well?

James got teeth!

Yesterday James has two lower teeth cutting out. He is 4 days to 7 months old. Almost the same time when Jaden had his first tooth. Let him try pigeon baby teether and he was happily munching, can hear the 'cracking' sound of the biscuit somemore :-)

Helper made some porridge for him and was not very successful. He seems to prefer pureed food than porridge. The fish is abit flaky and he didnt eat much. I've decided to cook porridge on my own next weekend instead. I remember baby Jaden was happily eating the porridge I cooked for him the last time. I'm feeling excited thinking what to prepare for him next week :)

James is 6 months old

James is 6 months old on 23 Sep 08. As usual, mummy is busy at work and couldnt bring him for jab. Daddy and helper brought him to the clinic instead.

This time, daddy said James only cry a little. Not as bad as the previous jab when it was done by another doctor. I will stick to this doctor for jab next time.

Milestone

- weigh 7.3kg and 68cm

- taking 2 cereals (3 tablespoon) a day for lunch and dinner. He loves all puree except for avocado. Same when Jaden was a baby. I will keep trying as avocado is very nutritious.

- drink 180ml FM
- Smiles when he sees a familiar face, chuckles loudly and sings when amused. recognise faces, can stretch out his arms when he wants to be carried by the person.
- no teeth
- cannot sit unsupported
- cannot crawl yet but can move his whole body and limbs when he tunnels with his head. - not learning to stand up yet
- complains loudly when unhappy

Jaden can Read

Finally Jaden is able to read a book on his own now. On Thu 1st Oct, he surprised me when he took out ridley's book "Strawberry Jam", "Book Week" and "Bulls eye" and read on his own aloud word by word. My worry has been unfounded. Thank God! :)

Happy 5th Birthday Jaden!

This year, Jaden requested for a solar system cake as usual. I've spent quite sometimes looking and couldnt find any bakery/baker who's experience in this theme. We ended up getting him Ben10 cupcakes instead. The cupcakes are pretty and all the kids are fascinated as they get to choose the pic they fancy.

Jaden has received nice gift from his frens Gwyneth, Aden and teachers. It has been a great birthday :)

The Singapore Flyer

Brought Jaden to Singapore Flyer on the eve of his birthday.

We purposely selected to start at 7pm to catch the sun set. Alas it was raining that day. Jaden was thrilled and totally enjoyed the ride. He has asked to come back again and next time, we will definetely bring James along.

Daddy played peekaboo to James. See how cute and adorable he is...giggling non stop. haha :D

PSP

Jaden is only allowed to play PSP on Fri to Sun.

Yesterday - Thu evening, he gave me a big cheeky grin and said "mummy, tomorrow is Fri right?". He was glad that Fri is near and he can hook on to PSP again. My heart softened and has gave me the go ahead to play it then.

While he was playing the PSP, he turned to me and said 'mummy, u're so good to me'. Haha..sometimes this boy can really melt your heart :)

James is 4 months old today!!!

My little James is 4 months old today!

Thank God that he has been a great and easy baby. He sleeps on his own easily but wake up easily at the slightest noise as well. He is now drinking 150ml 3 hourly with 1 EBM daily. I will wait a month or two before introducing cereal and pureed food to him. So exciting :-)

At 3 months, he weighs 6kg. Will see how much he weighs now when he go for his 4 months jab next Mon :)

Uranus has a ring!

Jaden told me that his teacher has taught him wrongly. He said Uranus should have a ring around it and he is right. You can see from the picture that he actually draw the ring around Uranus...haha

Little Astronomer

Thanks to Simply Her magazine that we came to know Science Ctr has Stargazing nite on every Friday.

Daddy brought Jaden there last nite and they were both amazed to see Mars, Saturn and Titan (Saturn's moon) with their huge and powerful telescope. I'll bring him there again next Fri. See if I'm lucky enough to spot Comets :)

Ritz Calton

Jaden has been asking to stay at Ritz Calton again. I'm thinking of booking for the New Year countdown. But with the little bun only 9 months, wonder will it be enjoyable or challenge.
