James is 21st months!

Merry X'mas!

James is 21st months and come next month, he will start his full day at Pats School house. I'm keeping my finger cross that he will be able to settle down soon. Nanny will be leaving us in a weeks time. How time flies! I'm sure gonna miss all the yummy food she has prepares for us the past 1.5 years. Feel sad for James as he is so attached to her. After all she takes care of him since birth.

James is more vocal now and his fav words is counting 1 - 10. Elmo is his current fav cartoon show. Probably I could get him the 3D Elmo cake for his 2nd Birthday :)

Tomorow will be staying at Ritz Calton Hotel for two nights. I'm sure Jaden will be over the moon :)

10 Years Anniversary!

Today or should I say yesterday was our 10 years wedding anniversary! Was swamped at work and totally forgotten about it until hubby mentioned it when I woke up in the morning. Cant take leave as well due to the over piling work and the stupid month end. End up worked till 11.30pm.

Received a surprise gift from hubby - a nice LV multi colour wallet which I've always wanted to buy. Thanks hubby for being so sweet and sorry that I didnt get you anything and have totally forgotten this important day :)

Jaden's Graduation Concert!

I'm so so proud of Jaden's performance at his graduation concert. His performance is really superb and he can act so naturally well. He was the main role in the chinese production so get to record a song with Yun Shan, the lady lead role in the play. The school has given all parents a CD recorded with all the songs the children sang that day :)

Took a day off and brought him to his fav Ikea ball pits and then to Orchard to get a gift for him. He asked me will he still get to perform next time. I feel so upset and determine to find a good speech and drama class for him. It is kind of sad that he is leaving the fun preschool and going to a real school now. But strangely, he dont seems to feel the same as I do....

James is 20th months!

Another monthly update for James :)

I have enrolled him at Pats and he will be starting childcare in Jan 2010. Will be taking 2 weeks off in Jan to settle down both of them - one to P1 and another toddler class.

James is speaking quite well now and his vocab has increased. He can now recognise and say 1 to 10. His fav book is 1 2 3 from Eric Carle :) Although he is quite a TV addict, most of the times he will still pick up books to read on this own. Probably we've placed it near the TV console so is easily accessible for him. BUT, he just simply refused to call mummy or daddy and we wonder why?

Jaden's Graduation Concert!

Jaden is feeling very excited over this graduation concert at Raffles Hotel on this coming Sat. He must have been assigned the main role as we were given seat on the first row unlike Carlest and Weiling who will be seating quite far back. It makes me feel so proud of him:) He was singing and practising at home and in school for couple of months and now as the days are drawing near. I can really feel his excitment. Keep reminding me which day it was, what time and to rem to fetch him from the full day rehearsal at Raffles hotel this Thu at 9pm.

My dear boy has really grown up now. And I'm as excited as him...looking forward to watch him play. Has purposely bought a nice dress from DKNY last weekend for this purpose :)

Back to school!

Jaden is back to school today after 1 week rest. No, he didnt caught HFMD from James but was nursing a low grade fever and bad sorethroat.

He came home today telling me that his friends refused to play with him. It makes me feel sad and wonder why are his friend behaving this way. Must be his daddy announced on the facebook that James had hfmd and didnt realised the harm he has created for his dear son.

James @ 19 months!

James can said quite a number of words now and his recent fav word is duck! Keep saying 'duck duck' at the top of his voice ;)
Finally he has recovered from HFMD and is now back to his active self!!!

Tooth Fairy!

Jaden dropped his first tooth yesterday and he was all over the moon. Really believed the tooth fairy story that I told him and diligently put his tooth under his pillow. Hoping the tooth fairy will come middle of the night and give him a gold coin. Luckily I have managed to dig out a gold coin and placed it under the pillow for him :)

HFMD!

James had HFMD and was v cranky the last few days. Luckily he is still able to eat but refused to drink milk and water. The brister is slowly speading all over his body. I'm dead tired looking after him as he only wants me..not his daddy or the helper. Nanny left for Mysia at the wrong time!

Now Jaden is having high fever. Pray hard that he didnt caught it from James. My life is really upside down...both home and work are so demanding. Help!

James @ 18 months!

James is more vocal nowadays...can say more words now like eat, aeroplane, beat, hug, car, tree. His fav word is 'throw away'. This is what I've always tell him when he picked things from the floor to eat :) I'm planning to put him in playgroup in Jan 2010. After some thought, think is better for him to play in school than being at home. Besides the unbearable humind weather being at home, I reckon he will spend most of his time watching TV. Most likely will put him at Pats Schoolhouse as well unless I can find a better pre-school for him.

Our new helper has been with us for a month. She is good in household chores. But not so good in taking care of children, cooking and does not have much initiatives. Today she saw Jaden standing by the roadside and dont even bother to warn him of the oncoming cars. The least she can do is to bring him away from the road. Same when we took the lift together. Dont even care and just walk out of the lift herself even though I was pushing James in the stroller and have lots of things on my hand. Need to start giving her appraisal every week!

Yesterday Jaden received results from his first piano test. He has achieved 3 big star and 2 medium star :)
He showed me a picture he drew in class. In the picture was a man, some shooting and a fighter jet. He wrote on the paper in mandarin 'wor shi pie lan'. I was puzzled and asked him when he wants to be 'pie lan'(meaning bad guy in hokkien). His answer was I am pilot not I am pei lan :)) It turned out that he couldnt spell the word pilot..hehehe :)

Poo poo!

Yesterday, nanny told me that James can now express when he wants to poo. I refused to believe her until I witnessed it today myself. He came over to tell nanny 'ng ng' and when she brought him to the toilet, he really poo on the toilet bowl. I tend to use Jaden as a gauge since he pooed in diaper till he was 2.5yo. Good job James :)

Jaden & James @ 17 months!

Jaden has been reciting the poems for his Kindergarten graduation alot lately. He has always love to perform and especially so is a chinese poems. I'm feeling excited and at the same time abit sad that he is leaving Pats and his friends of 3.5 years. One of his classmate will be in the same primary school so is not too bad tho they're not buddy. His buddy Leroy is going to Nanhua which I've put him on waitlisted. Most probably next year, I will put James at Pats Schhouse as well. Think is better than leaving him at home with the maid.

This Sat, Jaden will have his first piano test. I'm feeling abit anxious as I really dont have the time to practise with him. So got to rely on Fri to make sure he plays and sing well.

James can said alot more words now. He didnt like the maid, still prefer nanny or me. Hope this is just the interim otherwise next year when I need to work late, the maid and daddy will not be able to cope.

Happy Birthday Singapore

John!

John is the name Jaden's gave to his bedtime bear. I've bought it for James but who knows he didnt like it and prefer his 'chao bor bor' instead. So it has now becomes Jaden's fav beddtime bear instead. But no, he didnt hug it to sleep every nite. He use him to do various stunt and fights with whatever Jaden could find that day. Poor baby bear :(

Jaden & James@16 months!

Jaden may look more chubby than James but in fact at the same month, James' weigh alot heavier than Jaden. As you can see from the pic, Jaden is as sweet as a lamb while James is as fierce as a tiger.

James is 16 months!

James is 16 months today. Another 2 months, he will be considered a toddler not infant anymore. He now weighs 10.5kg and to my surprise, is heavier than Jaden at this age. Jaden found his passion solar system at 18 months and wonder what is James passion. Realised that he loves books and will pick up some book to 'read' the first thing he wakes up in the morning. He likes to take my hand and asked me to read to him. Hopefully he is a reader next time :)

He is able to walk very well now, didnt take him too long from the time he started to walk till ability to walk independently. It took Jaden 2 months to learn and walk. James seems to learn things faster than his 'gor gor'. Jaden did you hear that!

Rulang Primary

We have succesfully registered Jaden in Rulang primary without having to go through balloting. It is a relief and although this is the best school in the West area, I am not extremely excited as this is not my preferred school - Nanhua or Henry Park. I am thinking to waitlist him in these schools once all phases are completed. Will give the school a call tomorrow to find out more.

How time flies! My "ah dot" is going to real school soon. Hopefully he is able to adapt to the school life and we wont have to worry about his academic. These few nites have been teaching him coin counting. Wonder how much should I give him for his pocket money daily. Oh ya, time to source for wallet a and good school bag for him.

James can walk :)

I'm really surprised to see James walking from the sofa to the front door when I came back from work today :) Just when I'm still wondering when can he walk. Felt so happy about it...at least one thing off my busy mind...haha

These few weeks, Ivan and I are scrambling looking for helper and house nanny so we could be in time to train them when the current nanny left in Feb next year. The philipino helper will come in August. Still got phobia of putting James with them so we're also looking for a house nanny to cook and look after the boys while the helper do the household chores. Pray hard that God will send someone nice and trustworthy to us.

James is 15 months!

Came back from London today. Saw James sitting on the floor watching TV (as usual). Called out to him and when he sees me, he starts shaking his head. We're still trying to figure out what that means? Does it mean 'no'or is he doing it out of excitement? He started to walk a few steps now which I'm glad.

A while later, Jaden came home from his berries class. And u know what, James shakes his head again when he sees Jaden. So I would like to believe that he shakes his head when he is excited or happy :)

Put Jaden in bed and we talked abit. He asked if he could stop Lorna Whiston class as learning Engligh is so bored. Told me he prefers chinese. Tried to talk some sense to him and told him that english is universal language and it is important to master it. He argued that if he could not speak english, he can speak chinese. Haii..

Didnt do much shopping in Ldn. Everyday is only travelling between office and hotel. Is a nice cool summer so the whole trip is a bliss. And work wise, is not as stressed as I was in NY early this year. I hope I need not travel again for business...it is not as fun as it seems to be.

Jaden & James @ 14 months!

James is 14 months!

James is 14 months now! The big difference between now and last month is he can talk single word - fav words are 'gor gor', 'go go', 'bird'. He is also able to climb up and down the sofa. This morning when he woke up, he pushed the boaster down the bed so he could have space to climb down. His analytical skill is better than Jaden at that age. But come to fine motor skill, Jaden is better. I rem he can open and close the tiny little lip brush that I had. Both of them enjoy different tv program as well - Jaden used to like watching Sesame Street DVD and for James, he only likes to watch Jaden's piano class music DVD. I wonder why? Maybe is because I was expecting him when I brought Jaden for music lesson. hmm...
Oh yes, he is still not able to walk. But I guess he should be able to come 15 months as I can see that he's more confident to walk abit or stand without any support now.

Yeah, this Friday we'll be going to Brisbane/Gold Coast. I like the excitement Jaden has on his face when he countdown to the trip everyday :)
I'm sure we're all going to have fun. Nanny asked me to take pic of her so she could show it to her family. She is just as excited as us :))

I might be going to Ldn for business trip in mid June. If confirmed, then I would lug loads of ELC toys back. Cant wait :P

Jaden & James @ 13 months!

James @ 13 months!

James is still not able to walk at 13 months. He can stand with support but not tempting to walk at all. Abit slow compare to Jaden who learned to walk at 12 months.

We're planning for a trip to Gold Coast next month. Really looking forward to this well deserved holiday :) I'm sure the kids and even nanny will love it...the cool air, theme park and the space.

Happy 1st Birthday James!

I have planned to update the blog on the 23rd March, James' 1yo birthday. But was so tired after the whole day trip to zoo that I was too exhausted to do anything end of the day. Feel so guilty about it :P

Yes we brought the boys to the zoo to celebrate James' 1yo birthday. James gets excited when seeing butterflies and reached out his hand to touch it while Jaden was hiding behind my back. My 2 boys are so different in character - yi kang yi rou :P
Jaden is happiest of all at the kids' waterplay. Spent 2 full hours there and at end of the day, told me that 'today is a happy day' :-)

We also had a nice & simple birthday celebration with family on Sunday 22nd. Love the cake that we ordered as it reminds me of James. He likes tiger/lion and wwill make 'roaring' sound when he is unhappy..hah. Wonder where he learn it from. His nanny would always tells him "wah! make tiger sound to frigten me again izzit'.

Oh ya, its so coincidence that Jaden and James first word start with letter B. Jaden first word is Bird and James is Bear :) Another nice coincidence will be their birthdate...

James' 1st bday toy :)

We bought Step 2 ride-on buggy for James' 1yo birthday! Paid $128, price is steep but seeing him all smiles when riding make it all worth it :) He was giggling away when he first ride on it and dear Jaden is also fighting to sit. Initially my intention is to bring him to the garden on the buggy but seeing how the china aunty spitting makes me changed my mind. Luckily my house is till spacious enough to push him around. He is all smile and quiet when I push him around the house. But when Jaden pushes him, he looks really frightened and wanted to come out. He seems to know what danger is :P

All time favourite toy!

The only toy I bought that last for years is no other than the mobile police car!!! It used to be Jaden's fav and now obviously is James. Sometimes, Jaden will ride on it chasing after James, screaming away in his walker :-)

The following week will be James' 1 year old birthday and I hope to get him a toy like this one, that will last for years to come as well. Do you have any suggestion?
